Fffffrrrrrresh

Dunno how I convinced my boss to let me draw a breakdancer, but my work soundtrack was dope for the day.

Hitchin

Scantily clad lady for the day job. Which is different than the scantily clad ladies I draw in my free time.

Mars needs women...also liquor and gambling.

Click it, get it all big.
Day job thing that I shoehorned a martian into. I kept saying that martians were topical, but no one was buying it.

Burning For You

Day job drawing loosely based on my sometimes boss and all the time pal John Dudas.

Total Hoser

Hitting the ice for the day job. Drawing sports things requires so much reference for me, but I'm pretty sure I could draw Wolverine with my eyes closed.

Hockey players and Wolverine are both from Canada, that's close enough right?

Dr. Sketchy Cleveland: Freddie Nova

Best Dr. Sketchy in a good long while!  Fred's a top notch model, and it was a blast to draw her in this style

Donatello Warm Up

Gonna take a couple of days to get to my actual ninja turtles RBMC piece (Krang) up. In the meantime here's a warm up playing on my new pad of marker paper.

The Answer Is Always In Your Sketchbook

Lightly sketched, so it's worth making this one bigger.
This one even more so.
Couple of sketchbook pages from last year that we're really just therapeutic exercises. Looking at them now, they really layed the groundwork for so much that I'm doing now.

It's a nice reminder to never throw anything away.

Dr. Sketchy Cleveland @ All Balboa Weekend

I had the good fortune of drawing some folks who can dance better than I'll ever be able to a couple of weekends back. I also passed up buying a blue velvet smoking jacket, which I'll regret for the rest of my life.

Martians we're a big problem back then.

Thor @ Drawn N Quartered 4

My pal Thor from the Drawn N Quartered competition a couple of months back. I'm pretty sure that was a tentacle she was sitting on, but I was wearing a wrestling mask, and sometimes it gets hard to see.

Tess La Coil At Murray Hill

My pal Tess La Coil from Murray Hill Life Drawing Group a few months back. That girls always got floating stars coming out of her head.

Batman Smash! Process

Pencils and inks on the road to my BATMAN SMASH piece for the Rust Belt Monster Collective.
Pencils, with lots of dirt and grime from my hairy oafish hands.
Inks with a brush, without my pal apple Z.

Dr Sketchy Cleveland: D'arby Dee Day

Sketchy drawings from a couple months back. Freeing up my marker use, and having a blast while I experiment.

No Foolin?

Sketchbook drawing from last year I did while waiting for a Job Interview.

Well I Think It's Booty

Booty.  That's what it is.
The first of a whole mess of illustrator stuff to share.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've drawn a pirate, which explains why I am not a famous artist yet.

Skillz Fo Skrillz

Drawing in my sketchbook I did while waiting for some art to get approved about waiting for some art to get approved.

It's sort of a companion to this thing I did over at the Rust Belt Monster Collective.  Second in what's sure to be the "skillz series"

Strut

Warm up sketch before teaching.  Knocking out the bad influences before sharing the good ones I suppose.

Dr. Sketchy Cleveland: Franklyn Singley

First male model at Sketchy Cleveland, and first time I've used multi toned markers since perspective class. Franklyn Singley is easily in the top five of people I've drawn, and I can't wait to do it again.  If you've got the time, watch the dude skate here.

Mark's Larry Birdthday

My pal need a spot illo for his birthday invites, so I whipped one up in lieu of actually getting him a present. This is quickly becoming the de facto cartooning style for me.
