First Dr. Sketchy in a good long while.

If I'm not mistaken first one post Seattle breakdown, and I'm super happy with the results.

I've been going to the CIA life drawing course the past few weeks, and it's defiantly helped me regain my sight, but more importantly boosted my confidence levels (which is usually the problem in any drawing situation). Getting out of the vacuum of my studio has done nothing but help the past couple of months, and its strengthened my resolve to find the money for art classes.

As much as the classes have helped my life drawing, I got a lot of inspiration from the Gene Colan exhibit at the Museum Of Cartoon Art in San Francisco that I was fortunate enough to see in December.

Admittedly, I was never much of a Colan fan, but seeing his pencils has helped me a bunch. Particularly the way he uses the direction of line to show mass.

Stuff people have been doing for hundreds of years, but I can really only pay attention when Iron Man is involved.

Can I say I'm proud of this? Because I am.

It's the closest example of where I want to go with all of this. Moving towards a new style without abandoning what I know already.

Not to mention fish ladies get me off.

I have a feeling inking in illustrator is going to save me a lot of time, which at this point is my biggest hurdle.

Finding the time to produce.
